My name is Paul McClarin

I am a NASM-certified personal trainer with an associate degree in health and human performance. My passion is guiding individuals through transformative journeys using personalized training programs, motivational coaching, and expert guidance. Specializing in hypertrophy training, functional training, and agility training, I cater to diverse fitness goals, be it improving overall health, enhancing athletic performance, or fostering a lifelong love for fitness.

This book is a coming-of-age story of a young boy who grew up in the mean streets of Brooklyn, NY, and the challenges he faced while becoming a man.

Through traumatic experiences of abuse, heartbreak, and betrayal, he worked hard to overcome the forces that could have ultimately ended his life. It explores the challenges that plague inner-city youths, specifically, young boys that grow up without strong father figures in their lives.

Recognizing the problem is the first step in breaking the cycle, however, fixing the problem at its core is an individual journey. It takes a village, a community with a willingness to work together to face the issues troubling these communities, and a cohesive resolution process to ensure that the problems are eradicated for generations to come.

With a desire to acknowledge and help others work through similar experiences detailed in this book, it is a testament to the man he has become..
